We were all lied to. And to add insult to injury, anyone with a bit of knowledge and critical thinking ability that said they were lies was ridiculed, vilified, cancelled, sacked, reputation ruined etc. Anything to protect the lies.

They had to keep it from President Trump.
President Trump never wanted the lockdowns and held out high hope for hydroxychloroquine. They shut him down instantly. They needed their experimental “gene therapy injections” in every arm. They could not do that save it be under an emergency use authorization (EUA). They needed Trump out of the oval office. So far every country that is heavily injected with mRNA gene therapy has seen their life expectancy drop consistently since the rollout.
